Unlandscaped, the Landscape Architecture Australia prize for unrealized landscapes, seeks thought-provoking responses to contemporary issues.

The prize promotes ideas and debate about landscape architecture by rewarding challenging new work.

The annual program is open to landscape architects, graduates, students and other built environment professionals and students who are invited to enter their unrealized projects, propositions and scenarios. The overall winner receives a prize of $3000.

Unlandscaped 2009

The 2009 Unlandscape winner was announced, in conjunction with the AILA National Conference and the launch of Sunburnt, on Friday 8 May.

Congratulations to the winner of the 2009 prize: Mark Lindsay Tyrrell for Diepsloot Environmental Masterplan. Congratulations also to the recipients of High Commendations: Robyn Butcher for City Service. Public Station and R. Weller, D. Broun and K. McKernan for Footprint.
